Fair Work Act 2009 - impact on business

The introduction of the Fair Work Act 2009 has seen the emergence of a new higher level of workplace re-regulation and complexity. This includes:

  • The National Employment Standards
  • The Modern Awards
  • The Modern Awards transitional provisions
  • New employee rights –i.e. adverse affects, work flexibility

  • A larger focus on business compliance through a more highly resourced workplace inspectorate
